IDEAS FOR KENYA'S DIGITAL SHIFT

A challenge today for local telecommunications operators and internet service providers  is to overcome,the bandwidth problem and to gain more visibility in order to get a bigger market share: penetration, Telephony is a key driver of the national economy. In this Digital Era information is time and time is money.

Entrepreneurs and the communications commission of Kenya need to think out of the box in order to optimize use of Kenya's Telecommunication infrastructure. One idea would be to use P.B.X servers to stream all free to air transmissions Televisions and Audio through the internet to compatible platforms.

This technology can use white space frequencies for long range microwave transmissions and WIMAX to connect a bigger portion of the main population to the internet affordable. White space are frequencies set aside by the CCK for private use for the government and corporate entities. WIMAX is WIFI  over very large distances of up to ten kilometers.

This system can support Cellphone and related services, TV and Radio streaming via internet . Voice Over internet protocol streaming. It can serve as Backbone for emergency and Relief services. Law enforcement and military communications systems can be secured and supplemented with this model.

Servers, WIFI , Bluetooth and Television, Modem-Routers are to be integrated to create a Hive mind, a networked, Ram , a Botnet which will be used for Bandwidth Optimization , Troubleshooting , Maintenance and for general network optimization-efficiency management.
